Tokyo 17-22 Sept 2016 Day 4

tsukiji XD To get some stuff for my mum.i woke up at 6,7am?? I couldn't remember. there was a lot of news coverage on the moving of tsukiji right before I came. they halted the moving for investigation on the toxics in the proposed new land. but actually most of the tourists visit the outer market which will not be moved. the famous sushi shops in the inner market will be moved though. 

note: tsukiji station exit 1 is the nearest 

my mum's favourite shop. I think they do really sell cheaper than ameyoko though.

I actually had some time before meeting Yuri, so I went back to the hotel first to put down the stuff before walking to OIOI to meet Yuri.

my very pretty online friend!!!! she brought me to this very beautiful place in Ueno park.

Yuri is mother to twins, she's really cute :) and her twins are adorable !!!!!

I had to leave for work at about 1pm. 

I took my time to get there only to realise I got the wrong location. gah!!! luckily the walk was about 15 mins and I could get there in time.

Meeting went well and we ended at 5:30pm? and we were met with typhoon. rain.

it was wet and cold. I really hated it!!

waited for call from my colleague A in the rain for about 20 mins? and I headed to Kinshicho. colleague S was stuck in Osaka since 1:30pm because of the typhoon and his flight was cancelled twice. he could only catch the flight at 6+. eventually he managed to meet us at the restaurant at 8pm. I gave him the wrong address oops.

met Nakamura san to brief him about JBL. he's a nice ojisan :) 

that spicy konnyaku is so chewy and nice. :) and cassis oolong! too sweet :(

I love izakaya food!! haha and eihire is my new favourite :)) the tamagoyaki was awesome too.. yummy 

took a cab back at around 9pm. S knows the route around Tokyo very well!! I'm impressed~ 

Tokyo 17-22 Sept 2016 Day 3

no sadako today! good hair day XD today I'm meeting Kimura san, shopping and calligraphy class!! :) I'm also moving over to the hotel today. 

corn soup again! I requested!!

so good! 

Kita Ayase station is undergoing construction to become the last station of chiyoda line. I cannot wait!!! Kita Ayase has been very inconvenient as you have to change the the "0番線". but it's going to take 3 years.. 

i love this hotel! except for its lift because there is only one lift serving the whole building. other than that the room is good, the aircon and light controls in the room were awesome too XD

This seat serves as a toilet.... and there are water and snacks inside too :O in case of emergency!

I must be crazy to eat this again. I ate it 4 times in a span of 1? 2 months? just to get the toys. now I'm back to get other toys again. but they are really cute though <3

I went to pass some souvenirs to Kawada sensei later and because my timing was not right he had a patient so I didn't speak long to him. went off to met Kimura San at Harajuku...

as usual she is so chatty and she came with her niece this time who is 36 years old. OMG I cannot tell at all!?!! 

later I had time to stroll around Harajuku and otomesando. I love this classy place !!!

fujifilm girls event. I love this shop! bought  2 disposable film cameras for use next time XD

walked down to Shibuya and just enjoying the stroll even if it was raining. more shopping at muji, loft etc etc haha XD I'm running out of money!!

moved on to the Shibuya post office to post some items to Uin and Trang, and postcards to Tama, Doan and myself XD (update: postcard arrived in record 4 days time!!). it's one of the few post offices opened today because it's public holiday (敬老の日). I have been to this post office last year too. the post people were really nice, as always. I bought my stamps and postcards and sat down to write my cards. 

I love the Japan Post postcards. they are cheap and pretty. usually they are of seasonal designs. previously I have bought summer designs. this time it's Cosmo flowers and autumn leaves designs. 

when I was about to paste my stamps, something embarrassing happened. 

see this? I dunno why I mistook this for the stamp sponge (we always see that stamp sponge in the Singapore post office) and I didn't quite register they had this red ink pad for "Hanko" ハンコ. so I Piak my stamp on it and resulted in a red bloody stamp. wtf have I done!! 

NOT THIS

So Doan's postcard became a little bloody. to avoid smudging the ink on the glue stick (so they use glue stick instead?), I put the glue on the paper and piak the stamp on the card. phew~ 

I really laughed at myself at that time. there was a staff in front of me at that time I wondered if he saw it... >.< 

as I still had some time I decided to make a trip to itoya in ginza. haven't got a chance to go there the last time. it's a big stationery and lifestyle store 12 levels high in Ginza. it's awesome XD

moved on to roppongi and had afuri before calligraphy class. I wasn't so hungry so I settled for the chasiu don. it's really good!! 

the classroom has new tables! i missed this place!! good to see Yamamoto sensei and Taniguchi San again.

Yamamoto sensei wrote this for a tv drama!! so li hai. 

wasn't my best but I tried :/ 

met Mae from Thailand who is so talented ????? and Charlie from Japan.

after class I met Yoyo briefly to look around the infamous manga cafe. actually nothing much really XD

Tokyo 17-22 Sept 2016 Day 2

today is crab lunch with Akiko, Tomo chan and Hiroko!! Akiko works part time in this shop :) 

corn soup by Hiroko for breakfast. wtf it tastes so good?!! why??? 

traveling to Kita kogane station to meet Tomo Chan and Akiko

haha so funny the GPS indicates the location of all the convenience stores, as if they are landmarks 

it was almost an half an hour ride. it's impossible without a car, public transport is not so common too

soooooo good :)

basically almost every dish has a bit of crab. I love the steamed crab! 

crab steak was so good too.... yums. I wanna make this!!! 

the miso soup has crab too! very unique taste! 

this is Hiroko's order to Tomo chan.

looks like ACC RD but it actually is "All Red" and CRY means CRYstal. we laughed at it and wondered why she didn't want to write the full form. we asked if she was imitating Daigo Wish LOL

we parted ways and I arrived at Harajuku like 1.5h later. I was at Chiba ... zzzz and I KO on the train haha 

it was so crowded on a Sunday. so many tourists and the Daiso was exploding. my favourite store was gone?!? sigh. takeshita street has nothing much really, I'll skip here next time. moved on to Rope Picnic in Shinjuku and realised the shopping area in lumiere is so awesome!!! shopped for almost 2hrs there. moved on to the uniqlo for a quick shop before meeting Hiroko for oden at Kita Ayase. I felt so apologetic making her wait. 

the oden stall is about 15-20 walk from the station. Hiroko was very nice to help me find this shoo because she knows I love oden!!! I love Hiroko!!! if I knew about this shop last year I would have been a regular... 

the bald head owner is super friendly!! i really like this kind of atmosphere.

people buy a bottle and leave it here to consume every time they come back. I really like this kind of concept. 

the night was rainy on the way back, but the heart is warm 😍
